it was too slow. This was partly due to my computer being 1.7GHz, which is below your recommended specs, but partly due to the game itself. I think either the code may need some optimisation, or its due to the sprites, which tend to be labour-intensive.
I played on low quality. The frame rate stayed in the region 25-30. The units were sluggish, firing delay was longer than necessary, and the delay turret rotation should have been extended to happen even when not firing, or not happen at all, to give continuity.
The upgrades system itself was quite good, but the interface wasn't very intuitive. I took me about 30 seconds to figure out how to use it, which is too long.
I played up until wave 8 in scenario mode, then died. The sluggish nature of the game made me not want to come back to it. It needs to hook you before then, a lesson I learnt with my TD game.
I noticed in reviews that this is not a serious project. If it was I would suggest spending more time fine-tuning the game to make it easier to use.

I loved that gadget...
Anywho, nice artwork there, and another good show of what a .swf has to go through. Could've done with a little more animation on the .swf itself, but good overall.

But you need to animate a bit more.
Something that can make it seem less slow is to have more going on at once. If people can see an obvious tween go on for more than three second, they get bored.
A simple fix during the parade bit would be to add the streamers and glitter that's often flying about. Just make one symbol that repeats itself, and place one instanceon a layer in front of the balloons, and one behind, slightly reduced in size. It'll add depth, make it look busier, and keep people's attention longer.
Sound would always be good. By the way this is sort of cut off at the biking bit, I assume it wasn't finished anyway, yet.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you meant when you said 'place one instance behind the balloon and one in front'(for the streamer)
On a related note, the bike bit was the punchline, you see asian drive slowly on the interstate with their turn signal on. It's kinda stereotypical I know. Thanks for the comment though.

One, like the previous guy said, no blood on the blade at the end.
Two, in a world so polluted that it chokes you that quickly, that would be acid rain. I think that should've been noted, with bubbling/steaming.
Quality work, but I just didn't enjoy it.
